North Texas Fair & Rodeo

August 21–30 | Various Times | Denton

A North Texas tradition is back. The North Texas Fair & Rodeo brings ten days of rodeo action, livestock shows, carnival rides, food, games, vendors, and live country music to the North Texas Fairgrounds in Denton.

The opening weekend includes professional rodeo performances August 21–23 at 7:30 PM, along with concerts from Braxton Keith on Friday, Chris Cagle on Saturday, and Ned LeDoux on Sunday.

Whether you are coming for the rodeo, the music, or a night at the carnival with the family, this is one of the biggest events happening in North Texas this weekend.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents The Greatest Show On Earth

August 21–23 | Various Times | Dickies Arena, Fort Worth

The Greatest Show On Earth returns to Fort Worth with a completely reimagined circus experience.

Expect high-flying acrobatics, gravity-defying stunts, music, larger-than-life production, and plenty of family-friendly entertainment. This year's performances at Dickies Arena also feature special guest and daredevil comedian Bello Nock.

Performances take place throughout the weekend, making this an easy option for a family outing in Fort Worth.

Big Laugh Spotlight

August 21–22 | Big Laugh Comedy Club | Fort Worth

Looking for a date-night option? Big Laugh Spotlight gives comedians more than the typical quick stand-up set, with rising and established performers taking the stage for extended 15-to-20-minute performances.

The shows are recorded live in front of an audience at Big Laugh Comedy Club in Downtown Fort Worth. Friday's performance begins at 7:30 PM, with another Spotlight performance Saturday night.

Note: Shows are 18+ and the club has a two-drink minimum per person.

The Boho Market at Klyde Warren Park

August 21 | 5:00–10:00 PM | Klyde Warren Park, Dallas

Spend Friday evening shopping small in the heart of Dallas.

The Boho Market is bringing a curated selection of local artisans, makers, and small businesses to Klyde Warren Park. Browse handcrafted goods, grab dinner from one of the nearby restaurants or food trucks, and enjoy everything the park has to offer.

Admission is free, and the event is both family-friendly and dog-friendly.

'til Midnight at the Nasher

August 21 | 6:00 PM–Midnight | Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas

One of the Dallas Arts District's best evening events returns Friday night.

'til Midnight at the Nasher combines art, live music, food and drinks, and an outdoor movie in the Nasher Garden. This month's lineup begins with contemporary soul artist Dana Harper at 6:30 PM, followed by jazz from Cosmic Collective at 7:45 PM.

At 9:00 PM, settle in for an outdoor screening of National Treasure.

Even better, admission is free.

Santana & The Doobie Brothers: Oneness Tour

August 22 | 7:00 PM | American Airlines Center, Dallas

Two legendary bands share one stage Saturday night when Santana and The Doobie Brothers bring their co-headlining Oneness Tour to American Airlines Center.

Expect Santana's unmistakable Latin-infused guitar sound alongside the soulful harmonies and classic rock catalog of The Doobie Brothers. For longtime fans of either band, this should be one of the weekend's standout concerts.

Dog Day 2026 Presented by VEG

August 23 | 11:30 AM–4:00 PM | Backyard Dallas

Sunday is going to the dogs, in the best possible way.

Dog Day 2026 brings together hundreds of Dallas dog owners and their pups for an afternoon of local vendors, adoptable dogs, contests, photo opportunities, treats, interactive activities, and plenty of tail wags.

The event also supports Live Like Roo, which helps families facing canine cancer diagnoses, and North Texas Australian Shepherd Rescue.

Admission starts at $5 plus fees.
