Welcome to East Village

A small, under-the-radar section of Old East Dallas, East Village once stood in the shadow of more famous neighbors like Lower Greenville, Swiss Avenue, and City Place. It didn't help that it was oft identified as part of Knox-Henderson, it's neighbor across Central Expressway. That old-school perception, however, is changing. 
 
With modern homes and trendy luxury condos mixed among restored bungalows and several lively dining and entertainment options, East Village reaches out to the young and forward-thinking among Dallas' growing population. And more and more are answering the call.

People & Lifestyle

Young urbanites are making East Village the "it" place to live. Home prices here remain more modest versus the more established neighborhoods of East Dallas. The bulk of the population is young professionals in their late 20s to mid-30s.
 
Location plays an immense role in attracting them to this bustling community. Easy access to Central Expressway gets you to most business districts in less than 30 minutes. Dallas Love Field is 15 minutes away. Dining and entertainment is a short drive or slightly longer walk, and White Rock Lake is a 10-minute drive.
 

Dining, Shopping & Entertainment

With its location between Henderson Avenue in the north and Fitzhugh/Bennett Ave in the south, East Village isn't particularly large, but it does have some excellent dining options. 
 
Foremost is Hungry Belly, a fast-casual Asian restaurant that features everything from ramen and sushi to burgers and tacos. Zalat Pizza serves it late and keeps things a bit more straightforward. LDU Coffee is your neighborhood java go-to.
 
There is also the Dallas staple Jake's Burgers and Beer at Henderson and Belmont. It's an absolute must if you love Texas burgers done right.
